Life Project for Action

In the summer of 2008, Heidi Albertsen assumed the dual roles of Chief Ambassador and Fundraiser/Event Organizer for Life Project for Action (formerlyLife Project for Africa). As the organization's Chief Ambassador, Heidi's goal is to broaden Life Project for Action's strengths and efforts by creating global awareness and support for Tanzania and Africa through her international contacts and abilities. Heidi climbed to the 19,340 feet peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania twice while filming Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa, an IMAX film directed by David Breshears. Due in part to these experiences and her first-hand exposure to the conditions in Africa, Heidi has held helping others in Africa dear to her heart.

Heidi is an internationally recognized model and actress from Copenhagen, Denmark. Heidi was the winner of the Elite Model Look World Final, which made her a world renowned model along the likes of Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, and Gisele Bundchen, all of whom were also discovered through the Elite Model Look competition. Heidi has served as a judge in the Miss Universe Pageant. She has been on the cover of numerous leading international magazines such as Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Sports Illustrated, and Shape. She has graced campaigns and runways for top fashion designers and brands such as Nicole Miller, Roberto Cavali, Guess, L'Oreal, and Victoria's Secret. Heidi has been in several movies and has appeared on television shows worldwide.

As fundraiser and event organizer, Heidi has employed her skills and experience to arrange functions to help bring together interested supporters and of course, at the same time, seek the income necessary for Life Project to carry out and expand its role in building capacity and delivering support in health care, funding education of Tanzania's children, bringing life giving water to many areas in need, and helping people to help themselves.

Her worldly experience and resources in the arts, fashion, and entertainment make her instrumental and vital in assisting Life Project for Action to carry out its mission and to grasp sincere attention. Her work at Life Project not only will help create continued construction of healthcare and educational facilities, but also it will help provide medical assistance, care, and clean water to the many people in dire need in Africa and Tanzania. Heidi's love for the arts, education, and charity, as well as her strong belief in God have made her an essential part of Life Project for Action.
